Oh, the cat's only regret had to have been that he wasn't able to tell his owners what was happening before they took him to the vet and got him shaved. We don't know of a single cat who likes that. But other than that… heck no, no regrets.

There is one piece of advice that we give to every new cat owner, and that is to pay attention. Cats don't show you when they are feeling unwell. They don't like showing weakness, so they hide it. They hide it until they can't anymore. So, to catch things early enough, you have to look for any and all behavioral changes in your cat. Is your cat cleaning itself as much as before? Does your cat have the same level of energy? And one of the biggest ones - is your cat eating properly?
If your cat suddenly stops eating, that is one of the biggest signs that something is wrong with it. Time to take your cat to the vet. Which is exactly what this concerned owner did when they realized that their cat hasn't eaten properly in three days. They did the right thing. Doing the ultrasound was the right thing. Paying the money was the right thing. It is not their fault that their cat played them.
